Research on Gratitude

Participants were asked to write a thank-you note to another person once a week for three weeks. They did not necessarily send the letters but asked to write the letter.

The results of the study showed an increase in participant well-being.

The effect of the action did not happen immediately, their happiness increased between 4 to 12 weeks after the start of the intervention.

They also found that the effect remained months later.

How did it happen?

Gratitude raises awareness of positive emotions.

Any small action that we do in our everyday routine can significantly improve our well-being.
